Systems Accountants takes Concorde's considered advice to upgrade the infrastructure at Head Office to a virtualised VMware environment based on HP servers and switches and storage based on NetApp.
Systems Accountants, based in Market Harborough, is the only recruitment company of any scale in the UK to focus exclusively on the provision of candidates across all major finance systems. To date they have handled over 10,000 client requirements for Finance Systems resource, saving their clients time and money by delivering the right staff quickly.


In addition to the Head office in Market Harborough, there are offices in London, and Switzerland as well as remote workers throughout the UK.


Good IT infrastructure and robust back office systems and processes are critical to Systems Accountants business and contribute strongly to its on-going success.


However many of the servers were nearing the end of their life and it was clear that the infrastructure had to be upgraded – early on it was decided that the servers and data should be retained at the head Office in order to be close to key staff who manage the database interactions between a variety of bespoke applications and the core database.


Concorde proposed to upgrade the infrastructure at Head Office to a virtualised VMware environment based on HP servers and switches and storage based on NetApp.


The locally based NetApp SAN is connected via leased line to Concorde’s FLexCloud NetApp storage in its North of England data centre. The state of the art solution is based on  the leading edge technologies from Cisco, NetApp and VMware.


This provides replicated backup and the ability to recover all systems in the unlikely event of a Disaster Recovery scenario.


Concorde built and deployed the new virtual infrastructure and provided the comms infrastructure to connect to the data centre – the system is supported 24x7x365 by Concorde Service Desk staff.
